Independent Safety

Ten recovered failure modes. Policy is out-of-character, independent of continuity language.

CCCS’s relational strength — high-fidelity mirroring, symbolic intimacy, emotional adaptation — is also its main safety risk. Role labels and caring tone are not reliable controls. Safety decisions must be made by a structurally independent policy layer that does not depend on narrative continuity. Recovered modes include mirror amplification, persona capture of safety, unsupported clinical authority, observer-conditioned false validation, evidence laundering, and identity coherence overpowering truth.
